Who We Are
Basara Educational and Welfare Society (BEWS) is a community-focused NGO based in Bihar, working to improve education, health, and social welfare among deprived communities, with a strong presence in Muzaffarpur and East Champaran districts of Bihar.

Our Commitment
We work with communities to create lasting change, especially for women, girls, youth, and the elderly, through inclusive, grassroots-led initiatives.

Key Activities & Impact (2021–2025)
  • Health & well-being Initiatives: 23 health camps, 5,800 diagnostic services, 767 hypertension cases treated, 583 diabetes cases diagnosed
  • Promoting Healthy Hygiene Practices: 30% reduction in school absenteeism, 2,000+ sanitary pads distributed, 85% adoption of regular handwashing
  • HIV/AIDS Awareness: 18,750+ individuals reached through campaigns, posters, storytelling, and interactive sessions
  • Winter Relief Camps: 19 camps organized, 7,000+ warm clothing items distributed, 5,100 people supported
  • Feeding Hope: Dry ration kits for flood-affected families and Nikshay Mitra food baskets for TB patients
  • Palliative Cancer Care: OPD, IPD, and home-based care with dignity

Project SHAKTI (2025–2028)
Adolescent Girl Empowerment Programme launched in Khaira Panchayat, Saraiya block, Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Goal: To enable adolescent girls to learn, lead, and shape their own futures.
